More research is fundamental if we are going to improve the lives of people with LFS. While there is much research devoted to understanding the genetics of LFS and other cancer predisposition syndromes, there is very little research being done on active measures to reduce the risk of cancer occurring in affected individuals.

We are supporting research that addresses this key issue and we are keen to take this further still. A key aim is to support a clinical trial in a mouse model of LFS to see how we can reduce the risk of cancer – this has direct relevance to all affected individuals.
